Isabel was born in Melbourne, Australia. Her dad is Australian while her mother is Swiss. Her family is from Cairns, Australia. They lived in Cairns Australia. With her sister Nina Isabel, she attended schools where First Nations and other children of different cultures were included. Isabel lives in Byron Bay NSW Australia. Isabel began acting in school. In the following years, she pursued a degree in acting at Queensland University of Technology at Victorian College of Arts. Her agent discovered her in 2002. She'd never attempted out for a role before. She auditioned to be a character on Home and Away 1988. Producers felt that she wasn't an ideal fit for the part. But, they were so impressed they came up with a new character Tasha. She spent 3 years playing her first television role and was awarded a Logie Award for new popular artist for her role. Isabel relocated to Los Angeles. The film she made her debut was Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen 2009. Since then she has appeared in and won awards in numerous US film and television productions, and Australian ones.
